A professionally performed surgery is an essential prerequisite for recovery. But without recovery from surgery, the final results of a surgical procedure can be much worse than planned. After an injury, rehabilitation is also key to recovery. It is a long and responsible process, requiring special attention from doctors and specialists (rehabilitators and physical therapists) and a lot of work from the patient.
The Parliament Physio Clinic is equipped with modern equipment for preventive examinations and therapeutic procedures. A diagnosis is made, and the most suitable rehabilitation program is drawn up, taking into account the patient's characteristics.
PREOPERATIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY
Preoperative physical therapy shows the great benefits of physical therapy before orthopedic surgery. We recommend preoperative physical therapy to facilitate the recovery process after surgery. After a complete evaluation, you will be prescribed a preoperative exercise program to maintain function and strength and prepare you for the postoperative program.
POSTOPERATIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physiotherapy, after postorthopedic and urogynecology surgery, is key to optimum recovery. After surgery and through your recovery, our experienced physiotherapists will assess your mobility, strength, and function. According to the different phases of healing, your progress, and goals, the physiotherapy will prepare with you a rehabilitation exercise program. We will liaise with your surgeons accordingly during your treatment.
HOW RECOVERY AFTER SURGERY IS CARRIED OUT
The course of rehabilitation is carried out using:
- Therapeutic exercise
- Kinesitherapy
- Passive working out of the joints
- Various types of massage
- Myofascial release
We use each of the methods mentioned above.
Regular exercise and a properly designed set of practices will improve blood flow, prevent the emergence and development of venous stasis, and the appearance of degenerative and atrophic deformities in the organs and tissues.
